Fishnet Theatre is looking for upcoming material to perform for the 2017-2018 Season. We love to work with unpublished playwrights!
If your script is selected, you receive:
- Production in Fishnet Theatre’s 40-performance season throughout Puget Sound.
- Assistance with registering your work through US Copyright Office.
- Consideration for publication with “For Christ’s Glory Publishing”.
- Acknowledgement on Fishnet Theatre’s web site.
Who is eligible?? Anyone 16 or older who is a Christian and dedicated to producing a quality, biblically-sound manuscript.
How will we be judging the scripts???
Biblically accurate – although they need not be bible stories, they must reflect the values, goals, and views of the bible and church.
Evangelistic in Nature – it should provide a thrust that will draw non-Christians to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
Supportive of the Church – it should also have a theme that would help the church learn and become better witnesses, better Christians, and better servants.
Tourability – the play should be able to be staged on typical church platforms. One setting is a plus, but a number of sets are possible (within reason)
Interesting Dramas – the play should also capture the attention of the audience regardless whether they believe in Christ or not.
Family Friendly – the play should be appropriate for all age groups, but favoring the adult audience.
Cast Size / Length – Cast should be from 4 – 12 actors ideally. Parts that can be played by males or females are a plus. Script should run about 50 – 80 minutes.
