Fishnet Theatre is expanding
For many years, Fishnet Theatre’s tour has required a cast and crew committment of around 10 months to do a show. During that time, we grow to know each other like a family, and many long lasting friendships are formed. New in 2010, Fishnet Theatre will be transitioning to a multiple unit format. What does this mean? It means that volunteers will only be required to make a 5 month commitment for shows. This includes a 2 month rehearsal period, and a 3 month show period. We will be running 3-4 units a year. As one unit tours, the next unit will rehearse for the show. Then as the first unit finishes their tour, the second unit will start theirs as the third unit begins rehearsals. When the second unit completes theirs tour, the third unit will take over. This is an exciting time of growth for Fishnet Theatre. Interested in learning more? Here are some resources that should help.
Fishnet Theatre is run by an ever expanding group of dedicated volunteers that work closely with the Fishnet board. Thousands of manhours are invested in each production. Whether its writing the scripts, constructing the sets, creating a lighting design, sound engineering, or acting–everything is done by volunteers.
Would you like to tour with us?
Fishnet was built by people who had a passion for acting. But above all, the people of Fishnet Theatre share a passion for God and a common calling to service. If you share that passion, we’d love to have you come on board and either act or tour on our crew. We will list openings during casting time. Check back then if you are interested. Whether you have an hour or a week to give, we can use you! If you would like to get involved, or if you would like more information about us, simply contact us.
